GEMILANG TRAVEL AND TOURS SDN BHD
Originally was incorporated on 17th September 1986 under the name of Careways Travel &
Tours Sdn. Bhd. engaged in the business of travel agency services. The business concentrated
merely on ticketing services and suffered substantial losses with negative net worth.
In December 1998, a new owner took over the ownership and management controlled of
the company and renamed it as GEMILANG TRAVEL AND TOURS SDN. BHD. The company
business activities were expanded to provide a comprehensive travel agency services
inclusive of Inbound and Outbound Tours, Limousine and Budget Car Services and
Umrah/Hajj Packages. Fresh injection of capital was pumped into the company to revive
the increased from RM 1,000,000.00 at the date of takeover to current RM 5,000,000.00
and RM 1,414,000.00 respectively. A turnround began in year 2000 when the recorded it
first ever not profit and positive net worth.
GEMILANG TRAVEL AND TOURS SDN BHD is an authorized agent for Malaysian Airlines
and is accredited to International Air Transport association (IATA) and a member of all
travel and tour associations namely: MDP, MATTA, KLTA, PATA and BUMITRA Malaysia. It
also subscribes to the ABACUS Distribution System and Galileo Travel Port GDH System,
a system which interfaces with hundreds of airlines, hotels, car rental companies and other
vendors of other facilities world-wide
